Motel 6 Groton, CT

A good place to lay your head if you're going to the casinos. Room is pretty basic but usable. I only had a couple of problems like the battery on the lock died and and sink drain ran slow. The staff was very good about everything though so I'm not going to ding them on it. Room was clean, had a desk, table and couch. You could really just sit and chill there if you wanted to. I'd probably stay here again. I've stayed here a few times already.

Staying at this location while transitioning to a new apartment, have been here a couple weeks and will be here for a couple more probably. The negative reviews I've seen on here I have not experienced, with the exception of the floors and bedding, I don't know if it's because of what the floors are made of, but we are constantly cleaning them ourselves and they seem very slippery even when dry. Other than that, the room is very clean. Your daily rooms do not come with a microwave, but they do come with a fridge. Your weekly rooms are the ones with the microwave and blow dryer. Having switched rooms from a daily to a weekly that is what I noticed. The staff is always very friendly from the front desk to the girls doing housekeeping and the maintenance guy, have never had one rude encounter with any of them. We have a dog and a cat, this was not an issue they are pet friendly. Beds are pretty comfortable, good pressure in the shower which is important to me and nice sized room where you're not on top of one another. I saw another comment on here that they offer a discounted weekly rate (not true, or at least I did not get one) attracting more or less bad clientele, I have not experienced this either, anyone I've run into here has seemed quite nice, and it's VERY quiet come night time, you do not even know there are other people staying here. Not saying those other reviews are not what they experienced, I'm just saying as a rebuttal that it's not anything I have experienced in the two weeks of being here. Would definitely come back if I find myself in this situation again. Keep up the good work guys!! We appreciate you.

We just needed a place to stay for a night for a concert at the casino. The room was clean, there was a slight unpleasant smell, but it was fine, we just sprayed some body spray and it was fine. The girl checking us in was very pleasant. I understand there are people that live on the premises, but there must be some kind of rules that there are other guests and there should not be people outside of other people's doors talking loudly in groups until 1-2 in the morning, also the slamming of doors all night long was a bit much. And then the person that drove in at 8 in the morning with the music blasting and then beeped the horn to make sure that everyone was awake was even more a bit rude. For the money it wasn't terrible and it was better than driving 2 hours back to Mass, but I would have liked to get some sleep, instead of being kept up all night and then been woken up in the morning. I don't blame the motel owners, but perhaps they should have a little more control over the tenants?

People complaining about the hotel have wine taste with a beer wallet. It’s a motel 6 you go there just to stay for a night or two not a floor stopping experience. The place was clean, floors were not sticky, parking lot was ok, staff was not rude, and 15 mins from Foxwoods. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because the bed made squeaky noises, the bed was hard, and the blankets were thin. But the ac and hearing system worked fine enough to make up for it. No weird smells or noises

We called for a last minute booking and the front desk employee was very kind and helpful. The room although a little dated was clean and comfortable. We definitely would stay here again! Thank you for a pleasant stay!

I was visiting family and stayed here 2 times in 2 weeks. The first time was 9 days and the second one overnight in a different room. Both rooms were immaculately clean. I wiped down the remote and all surfaces with a single sanitizing wipe and it was still perfectly clean when I was done. I was shocked! I've stayed in a $700 hotel that wasn't this clean! It is also one of the most quiet hotels I've stayed in despite being at high occupancy and allowing pets. I saw many dogs but didn't hear a single one. The beds were comfortable and the staff kind and helpful. This is NOT a 5 star hotel so yes the furniture and decor is dated but it is well maintained and well worth the money. I will 100% be choosing this place next time I'm in town.

For a motel 6 the room was really nice. I never saw a motel 6 have so much space usually it's a small room with the bed and stuff. I mean the kids had lots of extra space to play and we weren't crowded. Although the only issue was the fridge was missing in our room and our door wouldn't close and lock. We had to use the thing in the top so if someone pushed the door it would stop them from coming in.

I went to flagship and I couldn’t stay at their hotel because it was bad flagship has roaches bad smell so I left to check in in motel 6 and I was shock how well clean motel 6 was I like the woods floor their bed was nice and clean they just need to touch the bathroom was a little bit but still not bad flagship make motel 6 look like a luxury hotel I was happy with motel 6 I wish their price was a bit lower but it was a great stay
